Retired Dogs

Sasha is our sweet and gentle girl imported from Serbia. Unfortunately, Sasha’s breeding career ended before it was even started. We had all of her OFAs performed, and on her final exam we found out that her eyes have Grade 1 PHPV & Grade 1 PHTVL. Fortunately, this will not affect her vision, but since it is congenital we would not want to pass on genetics that are anything other than ideal.
I am not sharing this to be commended for upholding responsible breeding practices, because ethics should be standard. But rather, I think transparency is important and sometimes there is a harsh reality to breeding that people do not talk about.
